Operation Broken Fang Is Launched in CS:GO
Valve have released a new operation for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which is called Broken Fang. The update introduces two new game modes, ping system, seven new maps, and a Battle Pass with many rewards and an advanced stats tracking.
The first new game mode is called Broken Fang Premier – it features 5v5 competitive matches with one twist: prior to the game’s start, the players will be able to pick and ban maps. The premier mode is available only for Operation Pass owners.
The second mode – Retakes – features fast-paced 3v3 matches, where one team is defending an already planted bomb and the other one has to defuse it. The players will choose their equipment from three randomly preselected loadouts. The first team to win 8 rounds takes the game. This mode is available for everyone.
The ping system is now available in most game modes – it allows players to customize their chat wheel and use commands that generate contextual pings that can be viewed by their teammates. The system is similar to that used in the Danger Zone.
The Operation Pass is available for $14.99 – its owners will receive stars for competing weekly missions and can redeem these stars in the special store for new agents, weapon case, stickers, patches and more. Besides the rewards, the pass owners will unlock an advanced stats tracking that shows map performance, weapon stats and heatmaps.
Players without the pass will also be able to complete the missions; however, they will not get the stars. If you decide to activate the pass at a later day, you will receive rewards retroactively. The operation will conclude on April 30th.
